ABSTRACT

Objective: To understand the distribution and characteristics of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning reported online by Jiangsu Province, and to track the final diagnosis of suspected cases. Methods: The suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning cases in Jiangsu Province reported online from 2014 to 2018 were collected as the survey objects. Based on the reporting of the Occupational Disease Report Card from January 1, 2014 to November 5, 2019, the distribution characteristics and reporting institutions of suspected cases and final confirmed cases were analyzed. Results: From 2014 to 2018, 312 cases of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning were reported online in Jiangsu Province. There were significant differences in the number of online reported cases of occupational chronic lead poisoning, online reported cases of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning and confirmed cases of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning in different years (P<0.05) , especially in 2015. Among the suspected occupational lead poisoning cases reported online, 236 cases (75.6%) were male, mainly distributed in the manufacturing industry, and 246 cases (79.1%) were operators. All the suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning cases reported online were concentrated in private enterprises, 229 cases (73.4%) in small and medium-sized enterprises. The top three cities were Suqian with 111 cases (35.6%) , Yangzhou with 79 cases (25.3%) and Huai'an with 50 cases (16.0%) . From 2014 to 2018, 19 suspected cases of occupational chronic lead poisoning were finally confirmed in Jiangsu Province, with a diagnosis rate of 6.1%. Conclusion: The majority of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning cases reported online in Jiangsu Province are men, manufacturing and small and medium-sized enterprises, and the final diagnosis rate of suspected occupational chronic lead poisoning cases reported online is low.

ABSTRACT

Gout is the second largest metabolic disease in China, which can cause joint tissue damage and a variety of chronic diseases, and seriously affect human life and health. The increase in uric acid caused by disorder of purine metabolism or abnormal uric acid excretion is the biochemical basis of its pathogenesis. Western medical treatment mainly uses anti-inflammatory drugs such as colchicine, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and uric acid lowering drugs such as febuxostat and benzbromarone, which have obvious effects, but there are problems such as easy to recurrence after drug withdrawal and more adverse reactions. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has a long history in the treatment of gout, and has the advantages of multi-channel, multi-target, and multi-level symptomatic treatment. It exerts therapeutic effects through lowering uric acid, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidation, and protecting the kidneys. Its curative effect is obvious and the adverse reaction rate is low. In recent years, there have been many studies on the mechanism of TCM for gout animal models. Based on the review of relevant literature in recent years, this article has systematically sorted out the pathogenesis of gout, the mechanism of TCM for gout and related experimental design. The paper summarized and analyzed the mechanism of TCM in the treatment of gout from the aspects of regulating the level of inflammatory factors, inhibiting oxidation reaction, reducing uric acid and regulating signaling pathway, so as to provide reference for the research and development of drugs for gout.

ABSTRACT

AIM To compare the effects of sealed moistening with brine, simple stir-frying and stir-frying with brine on the contents of psoralen, psoralen, psoralen and psoralen in Psoraleae Fructus aqueous extract.METHODS The HPLC analysis of aqueous extract was performed on a 30 ℃ thermostatic Hibar C1s column (250 mm × 4.6 mm,5 μm),with the mobile phase comprising of 0.1% formic acid-methanol flowing at 1.0 mL/min in a gradient elution manner, and the detection wavelength was set at 246 nm.RESULTS Compared with the raw product, the contents of glycosides and total components in the product processed with sealed moistening with brine were significantly decreased.Stir-frying with brine could significantly promote the dissolution of glycosides (psoralen and psoralen),but had no significant effect on that of aglycones (psoralen and isopsoralen).Simple stirfrying markedly increased the contents of various constituents.CONCLUSION Both simple stir-frying and stir-frying with brine can significantly increase the total content of four constituents in Psoraleae Fructus aqueous extract.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To determine the relationship between intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) imaging derived quantitative metrics and serum soluble CD40 ligand (sCD40L) level in an embolic canine stroke model. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A middle cerebral artery occlusion model was established in 24 beagle dogs. Experimental dogs were divided into low- and high-sCD40L group according to serum sCD40L level at 4.5 hours after establishing the model. IVIM imaging was scanned at 4.5 hours after model establishment using 10 b values ranging from 0 to 900 s/mm². Quantitative metrics diffusion coefficient (D), pseudodiffusion coefficient (D*), and perfusion fraction (f) of ischemic lesions were calculated. Quantitative metrics of ischemic lesions were normalized by contralateral hemisphere using the following formula: normalized D = D(stroke) / D(contralateral). Differences in IVIM metrics between the low- and high-sCD40L groups were compared using t test. Pearson's correlation analyses were performed to determine the relationship between IVIM metrics and serum sCD40L level. RESULTS: The high-sCD40L group showed significantly lower f and normalized f values than the low-sCD40L group (f, p 0.05). Both f and normalized f values were negatively correlated with serum sCD40L level (f, r = −0.789, p 0.05). CONCLUSION: The f value derived from IVIM imaging was negatively correlated with serum sCD40L level. f value might serve as a potential imaging biomarker to assess the formation of microvascular thrombosis in hyperacute period of ischemic stroke.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of nine flavonoids in Buguzhi on the proliferation, differentiation of on Postmenopausal women's osteoblasts and their structure-activity relationship analysis. METHODS: Osteogenic cells were obtained from the femur in postmenopausal women. The effects of flavonoids on the proliferation, differentiation and osteoblasts were determined by MTT method, measuring the activity of alkaline phosphatase. RESULTS: Among the nine flavonoids, bavachin exhibited the highest proliferation, differentiation activity. The final result showed that their proliferation, differentiation activity may be related to the parent structure, the position of hydroxyl group and prenyl group. The results demonstrate that flavonone parent, 7-OH, 6-prenyl may improve the proliferation, differentiation effect. CONCLUSION: The results demonstrated that the effects of nine flavonoids in Buguzhi on proliferation, differentiation activity had connection with their structures.
